Its been a bit since I've last wrote and it feels like a million things were on my mind and a few thing have actually happened in my seemingly boring life. Though, there mostly just good memories and funny stories.
Last Saturday I went to Memphis, Tennessee for a competition. Well.. I wasn't in the competition, I was more like a gear holder. Holding their equipment and all. It might not seem like it but it is a very important job...
So before my free trip to Memphis on Saturday my best friend and I went prom dress shopping the day before. It was great and really fun although we didn't find anything that we wanted. I guess its a little too early to be shopping for prom. Prom use to be so blah.. to me. Last year everything just kind of landed in my lap and I just went along with it. This year I have kind of an idea of what I want and how I want it to be. I guess it might be because I finally am decisive about it or that it just my Senior year. Their is still the problem with the prom date. But that's for another blog post.. ^.~
Anyways, on with my story. It was fun with my best friend. It wasn't long ago that we thought we might be going to the same college and to be rooming together. But, plans change. She's going to another school but I'm still happy. Its not like I'm never going to get to see her again. But still these last few months of school will be enjoyable spending time with friends and all. We didn't find a prom dress, but we did go out to eat and look at some different shops in the mall. We ate at Oliver Garden. Even though we both didn't want any place too expensive, still I wanted to eat there. It had been forever since I had. When we finally got seated after a bit of a wait we met our waiter.... Steve. He will be the punch line of many jokes. I don't think he really even told us his name, we just read it on his name tag. I don't even know why it was so funny. He would always ask us how we were every 5 minutes and we would call his name every time something happened. Now, we expect Steve to be everywhere. Even if we're not in the same town.
That was just the start of the hyperness of that day.
After we were re-energized we went to Starbucks and got even more hyper on coffee. Well I did anyways. Every time we go to a different city I HAVE to get Starbucks. I can't get my fill since we don't have one in our town.
(Shhh! I stole the pic from google. But I love iced Macchiatos!)
Before we ordered I yelled at the people in the next parking lot. (Well.. they were yelling too!)
When we got our drinks we saw a man-girl. I think he was really a guy. I screamed to the next stop lights for no reason as we pretend we were on a roller coaster. When we got strange looks from the guy in the next car I waved and he actually waved back. (Love it!) I really don't know why we were acting so immature now that I look back on it, but still those were still some of the funnest immature hours I have ever had.
Anyways both of us went to that Memphis trip on Saturday. We got up early that morning. I wanted to see her scrap book to maybe start one of my own. So, we went to eat breakfast at a doughnut shop. First I've ever been since it was under new management. Fantastic!! I found that I really like doughnut holes.
Later for lunch we went to eat at Spaghetti Warehouse. I had only gone there once before. It was really good. Well.. I guess after four hours on a bus full of girls we all were hungry. I mean reaching in other peoples plates hungry. @.@ Fun times. Fun times. The competition went well. Later we were coming back home and stopped off to get dinner. (Seems like the most interesting things happens when were eating. Hm..) They stopped the bus and let all of us go to any fast food place/ restaurant that we wanted to, we just couldn't cross the 6 lane highway that was across from us. Most people went to Chick Fillet, but because my best friend is allergic to peanuts (They fry their things in peanut oil) We wanted to go someplace else. We were going to go to another fast food place but no, I had to look up and saw way in the distance there was a IHop. We decided that we just HAD to have it even though it was like 1,000 miles away. (In reality it was probably just a few blocks) So me, her, and another friend started running towards the place through the parking lots and jumping over bushes. We only had an hour for lunch and we couldn't waist any time. It was already going to take us forever to get there. We picked up a few more people who didn't want to eat at Chick Fillet as well. In all there were 5 people that were running frantically towards this restaurant. But we came to a stopping point. A street. A 6 lane street. It wasn't the same one our director told us not to cross but it was just as dangerous. But IHop was just one the other side. So, since we were so close we decided that we needed to cross it even though there was a steady flow of high flying traffic both left and right. Someone said "Okay one at a time" Though I think they were being factious. Still someone did it. They went out in the traffic and was in the middle lane flapping there arms around like an idiot. It was hilarious. She wasn't in danger so we weren't worried. People in other cars were shouting at her though to get out of the road. She made it across. While we laughed like lunatics on the other side. The stop light finally held both sides at the same time and we ran across to meet her. She was embarrassed more than anything. She said that those people probably thought the crazy people's bus tipped over and she escaped. If our director found out we did that we would be in so much trouble. We finally made it to IHop. When we got there it was so crowded. Then they informed us it was a 15 - 20 minute wait. Too long. We had less than an hour to order, get our food, eat, then run back on the other side of that street. So out the door we go. We tried to find a cross walk but no luck. Jay walking again. We waited and we all ran across the 6 laner together this time. We ended up eating at Chick Fillet after all. What a crazy night. I'm just glad we didn't get caught for that. LUCKY!
Well, that was alot to write but I'm glad I got it down. Mostly like a diary sort of thing. If anybody really reads this, I'm sorry. I promise you it was hilarious while we were in the moment.
Well, I got to go now I guess. I might write something later on if I have time.
Bai bai for now. Jya Mata!
